We are pleased to announce that two of our project members have been elected onto the UKSEDS committee at the society AGM on 1st March. Hannah Osborne will be taking on the role of Outreach Officer, while Elisabeth Matthews will be the Public Relations Officer.

Elisabeth Matthews (UKSEDS Publicity Officer)

Hannah Osborne (UKSEDS Outreach Officer)

Ben Sutlieff will also be involved with SEDS on a national scale, having been appointed as Assistant Outreach Officer.

XRT-C already have strong links with UKSEDS, with project co-founder Damian Rumble having been their chair in 2012-2013. We hope that having two more project members on the committee will help to strengthen our links with the national society, and enable us to promote the project to students across the UK.

UK Students for the Exploration and Development of Space, or UKSEDS for short, is the UK’s national student space society, who support space-related projects such as the XRT-C telescope, as well as running conferences and events for members and participating in a wide range of outreach activities.

We wish Hannah, Elisabeth and Ben luck in their new roles!
